When the opportunity arose to create and promote a new business on behalf of Coffeeshop Amsterdam, we were more than excited to be getting involved. Their new Café was to be a cannabis-friendly bar, located on the Singel a few minutes walk from their world famous coffeeshop. The strategy was to promote the café through photography. Enticing potential customers with an instant view inside their very special and luxurious location. With many visitors to Amsterdam every year, it was important the website was focused towards Google Local SEO as well as appearing high in search results for our targeted keywords.
Coffeeshopamsterdam Café Amsterdam is one of the finest and most unique bars in the city.
With the location really being something special when it comes to cannabis friendly locations in Amsterdam. It was important that the Photography for the website reflected the atmosphere, lighting and mood of the café. It was important that these images looked strong on the website and instantly recognisable. Special attention was also to be paid to Schema Markup, which would be implemented via Google Tag Manager. The menu for the café was also another item of interest for potential customers.
Google Tag Manager
The website uses Google Tag Manager (GTM) to insert analytical information codes. GTM is also used to include opening hours, ratings, price information as well as address
Local SEO plays a big part in this website. With so many Bars & Cafés in and around Amsterdam, we wanted to make sure that the business would be appearing in all Google listings. As Google offers a selection of opportunities to add information about the business listing, we invested the time to make sure we ticked every box.
Schema Markup is something which only now SEO plugins are starting to incorporate. That of coarse relies heavily on the website developer entering the correct and complete information. For this site we chose to add the scheme via GTM. This allows for ourselves or other advertising agencies to easily change the schema should it be needed. Included in the schema information are opening hours, location, reviews, menu options and costs.
Every website should be keeping track of its visitors. Understanding how your visitors found you and what they did when they arrived is just the help. For this project we set Google Analytics up with several conversion funnels. The website also makes use of the Facebook Pixel.
The Coffeeshopamsterdam Café website was delivered fully optimised for both speed and search. As always with our builds the site is running the latest, most secure versions of Wordpress, Enfold and various Plugins.
As with all our carefully crafted websites, we focused on making sure we complied with the requirements for Google Mobile-First Indexing. Due to our hard work and diligence the website was listed straight away as mobile friendly. With some maintenance in the coming months, this site will be ready for the new Google changes in September 2020.
